The seminary
"
Perspective of Globalization" took part on April 17th and 18th. The speakers presented papers which will be published in a book. Also video tapes of the conferences had been recorded and edited. Their copies will be distributed according to the resolution of the Managing Committee.

The main aim of the seminary was to define the group of Brazilian consultants who will work in the network REG/GEN.

The group was defined with the following researchers: Octavio Ianni (Unicamp), René Dreifuss (UFF-COPPE), Reinaldo Gonçalves (UFRJ), Paul Singer (USP), Luiz Carlos Prado (UFRJ/COFECON), Ladislau Dowbor (PUC/SP)), Milton Santos (USP), Franklin Trein (UFRJ), Oleg Tsukanov (PUC/MS), Pablo Emilio Martins (FGV). As a first international activity of the REGGEN, it carried out the first international meeting about The Dynamics of Globalization during the period of September 8th to 11th of 1998 in the city of Rio de Janeiro at The Maison of France, with the objective of discussing the main regional features of the process of globalization already under course, and to debate the objectives of the REGGEN and its functioning. This international meeting was sponsored by the NUSEG, a center of study in Goverment at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). To check the agenda of this meeting, click here.
